An Indian diamond ring recently entered the Guinness Book of
after it broke the world record for carrying the largest number of diamonds ever, after it was decorated with more than 12,000 diamonds.
The ring, coming from India and encrusted with 12638 diamonds, entered the Guinness Book of Records, according to"CNN".
On December 21, 2020, the Indian ring maker, Harshit Bansal, set the record for his design, which is officially called "Marigold" or the Ring of Prosperity.
The ring weighs 165 grams, or 5.8 ounces, and features a circular ribbon with a floral design, and it carries 38.08 carats of natural diamonds, according to the Guinness Book of Records.
The record was previously owned by a ring that also came from India, which was encrusted with 7,801 diamonds, and was designed by Hallmark Jewelers in Hyderabad.
The designer, Harshit Bansal, completed the ring design on November 30th, 2020, and shortly after won the record title from the Guinness Book of Records.
