An-Najah News - Japanese lady Ken Tanaka, considered as the oldest person on Earth, celebrated her 118th birthday on January 2^nd. 

Tanaka was born on January 2, 1903. As of 2018, she holds the title of "Oldest inhabitant of the Earth."

In November last year, the Mainichi newspaper reported that, in May 2021, the oldest person on earth should participate in the Olympic torch relay of the Games in Tokyo.

According to the plan, on May 11, Tanaka will travel 200 meters in a wheelchair with the Olympic torch in hand.

The Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo from July 8 to August 23, 2021.
