An-Najah News - The Palestinian movements and parties in the West Bank called for wider participation in popular resistance against settler attacks across the occupied territories.
The Palestinian National and Islamic Forces (PNIF), a coalition of the major Palestinian factions and parties, called for expanding the scope of participation in the activities of popular resistance aimed at confronting the violent attacks and harassment perpetrated by Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians and their properties, with support and protection from the Israeli military.
The parties encourage the Palestinian people to take part in the events marking the 56th anniversary of establishment of Fatah movement across the occupied West Bank, including in villages that have become scenes for frequent Israeli settler attacks, such as the Qalqilia-district town of Kafr Qaddum, the Ramallah-district villages of Deir Jarir and Kafr Malik and the Nablus-district town of Beit Dajan.
The coalition stressed rejection to the US stand attempting to legitimize the Israeli settler-colonialism, particularly the recent US administration’s decision to change the US customs policy and guidelines to allow the products of the Israeli colonial settlements in the West Bank to be labeled “Made in Israel”.
It called for active political action on all levels to implement the UN Security Council Resolution 2334 on Israeli settlements and urged the International Criminal Court (ICC) to accelerate its mechanisms to bring Israeli leaders responsible for war crimes to justice.
