An-Najah News - Due to the coronavirus lockdown measures and health restrictions in Palestine the Christmas ceremony restrictions come in line with the Palestinian government’s decision on banning crowds at Bethlehem’s Church of Nativity
The Custos of the Holy Land, Father Francesco Pattonwas coming from Jerusalem ushering in the Christmas celebrations arrived in Bethlehem and greeted by a handful of clerks, community leaders, and journalists but with no public attendance, Church sources said Sunday.
After the welcoming ceremony, the Custos said he will pray for the good to come.
"Despite the difficult circumstances that we are going through as a result of the Corona pandemic, but with faith and hope, the Church celebrates the advent time in preparation for the birth of Christ by repentance, prayer and supplication for peace. The coronavirus pandemic to end, the world to live in security and safety, and for Bethlehem to be well" He added
