An-Najah News - On Sunday, An-Najah National University inaugurated the first An-Najah Solar Power Station, on an area of 14 dunums of Al-Nassariya Farm.
Dr. Rami Al-Hamdallah, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at An-Najah National University, confirmed that this project is the inauguration of another achievement to be added to the achievements of An-Najah National University, to prove that it is a partner and an initiative that creates difficulties to serve its community and people.
He added: "We are meeting today in Sahl Al-Sumait with Al-Nassariyah, to add a new structure to our university and the Palestinian energy system, as we inaugurate the first An-Najah National solar energy station to contribute in reducing the total electricity bill by (20% to 25%). It comes as part of a series of research to reach a stage in which the university get enough of electricity and energy. It is to participate in global and local efforts to preserve the environment and increase the share of renewable energy.”
Dr. Rami Al-Hamdallah: "Our country faces difficult times. The occupation besieges, confiscating the lands and taking away the basic rights of our people for development and human dignity, Serious national work is not limited by classifications nor is it stopped by obstacles."
