An-Najah News - The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences launched a scientific awareness campaign about the Corona virus, which has spread across the world in a mere matter of months.
The awareness campaign targets the students and employees of the University in order to educate them about the virus including symptoms as well as preventative measures.
The aim of the awareness campaign was to educate the Palestinian community in order to both prevent infection and increase response rate.
The campaign includes printing and distributing educational pamphlets about the virus, conducting interviews with local media, sharing posts about the virus on social media, and printing roll-ups about the prevention methods for the virus and other relevant materials.
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Khalil Issa, said that the faculty lecturers and students will continue to put joint efforts in this campaign to raise awareness about this virus within the An-Najah community.
Dr. Issa added that there will be cooperation between the faculty and the Najah Broadcast Center (NBC) to raise the awareness of the Palestinian community about the prevention methods of the virus, the symptoms, and scientific information about its spread and incubation period.
Some of the activities are coordinated and implemented with different community and governmental organizations including the Red Cross, An-Najah National University Hospital, the Ministry of Health, among others in order to spread awareness across the local community.
