An-Najah News -  According to Minister of Health Mai Alkaila President Mahmoud Abbas has instructed the Palestinian government to do what it can to help the besieged Gaza Strip deal with the recent coronavirus pandemic.

 A committee  has been selceted by prisedent Abbas is expected in Gaza next week to study the situation there and assess the needs to confront the pandemic according to the minster.

Gaza recently has reported multiple cases causing concern of an outbreak that could be difficult to contain, particularly with the tight Israeli blockade it has been under for the past 14 years and the recent collective punishment imposed on Gaza.

The closure of the commercial crossing with Israel and banning entry of basic material, mainly badly needed fuel.
