An-Najah News - Israeli occupation bulldozers Tuesday morning demolished a Palestinian owned building in the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabal Almokaber, according to witnesses.

Three bulldozers escorted by Israeli occupation police demolished a 4-storey building under construction owned by Aziz Ja‘abis from al-Sal‘a area in the neighborhood in the Jerusalem area of Jabal Almokaber.

Local sources said the clashes erupted between Occupation police and Palestinian youth who tried to prevent the demolish. Occupation fired tear gas and live bullets toward the protesters. No injuries were reported

Israeli occupation police said that the structure was demolished purportedly for lacking the rarely-granted construction license .

Palestinians affirmed that the pretext of illegal building is used by Israel to demolish more houses on a regular basis to restrict Palestinian expansion in occupied Jerusalem.
