Big celebrations started early morning all over Palestine after the results of the high school exam, known as tawjihi, were announced by the Palestinian Ministry of Education. 

An-Najah News - It said that overall success rate was 71.32 percent adding that out of 77,539 students who sat for the exam this year 55,302 have passed, with science stream students, where success rate was 85.92 percent, while success rate for the art stream students was 65.43 percent.

Minister of Education Marwan Awartani said special efforts were exerted this year to hold the exams in light of the coronavirus pandemic, which forced schools to shut down two months before the end of the school year.

Awartani affirmed that the exams were held on time in special arrangements at schools in East Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and in special schools in the diaspora with strict adherence to safety and prevention measures, to allow the Palestinian students to sit for this exam that allows them to proceed to higher education around the world.
