An-Najah News - The U.S. President Donald Trump now believes that 100 thousand Americans may die in the Corona virus pandemic.

This is after the number of deaths exceeded his previous estimates, but he confirmed that he was confident that a vaccine will be developed by the end of the year.

At a virtual conference reported by Fox News, Trump expected a quick recovery in the US economy and blamed the outbreak on China, where the disease is believed to have originated from.

“We will lose anyway from 75 to 80 to 100,000 people,” Trump said, “This is terrible.”

Trump said on Friday that he hoped less than 100,000 Americans would die and earlier this week he spoke of the death of 60,000 to 70,000.

About half of the states have now started with partial lifting of lockdown after the number of new cases of the virus has begun to decline.
