An-Najah News - Abdel Salam Al Khayyat, head of the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology at An-Najah National University, warns citizens who think that coronavirus has ended in Palestine, and sends reassurance messages to citizens concerning the virus.

Al-Khayyat said in an interview with An-Najah that it is too early to believe that we have defeated the Corona virus, and that in this case, there is fear that the number of infections will rise again, especially that some evidence and studies believe that the virus will return in the coming spring and winter.

Al-Khayyat emphasized the importance of studying the process of mitigating preventive restrictions and that the process of opening sectors to be done gradually and carefully, with controls and follow-up.

In his speech on the awareness of citizens, Al-Khayyat said that they know what is right from wrong, but there is a problem in certain beliefs that may seem correct but they are wrong, such as the citizens' belief that there is no infections in the Nablus governorate and this raises reassurance to people, but in reality there may be infections but did not appear yet, new infections may come at any time, so the commitment of people must be driven by awareness, not by fear.
