An-Najah News - The IOF distributed notifications today, Sunday, to the people in the eastern and northern sides of Qarawit Bani Hassan village, west of Salfit

The IOF have prevented sheep herders from grazing areas of the village.

Khaled Maali, a researcher in Israeli settlement affairs, explained that the occupation authorities consider the Nouatef region as a natural reserve in preparation for the settlement expansion.

Maali pointed out that the targeted area lies along Burkan Israeli settlement and its industrial zone.

Furtherly, on Saturday, the Israeli Occupation Forces prevented an activity of plowing lands in Al-Sawiya village, south of Nablus, and seized large areas of Azzun Atma, south of Qalqilya village lands.

According to Ahmed Shaheen, dozens of citizens went out to the Al-Wad region, east of the village, to plow the land and protect it from settler attacks, but the occupation army prevented them from plowing their lands, on the pretext that they are closed military areas, according to local sources.

Shaheen added that the area is constantly under attack by Israeli settlers, as an Israeli settler from the “Rahalim” settlement has set up a tent in Al-Wad region, and settlers have cut hundreds of olive trees during the past months.

Also, the researcher in settlement affairs, Abdul Karim Ayoub, announced that the occupation authorities recently approved the start of implementing the largest settlement cemetery, at the expense of the citizens’ lands, to accommodate about 30,000 graves.

He explained that the implementation of the plan will contribute to the seizure of about 140 acres of agricultural land planted with olives and almonds behind the wall of annexation and racial expansion, from the lands of Azzun Atma, and the villages of Al-Zawiya and Mas-ha, affiliated to Salfit Governorate, if implemented.

He pointed out that the occupation exploits the world's preoccupation with the pandemic of Corona, to pass its settlement projects in control of Palestinian land.
