The number of deaths in Spain is 23,190 after recording 288 deaths only today.

“For the first time in a long time, we are below 300,” said the director of the Spanish Health Alert and Emergency Co-ordination Centre.

Spain has started easing the lockdown imposed on the country, and children are now allowed to leave their houses under special instructions.
