An-Najah News - Nablus - The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced that it has provided tons of humanitarian aid to 24 countries, as part of the country’s efforts to combat the coronavirus.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, that the total of the UAE's assistance provided to the 24 countries amounted to 260 tons, of which 260,000 people from the medical care sector benefited.
The UAE donated 13 tons of medical supplies to Greece on 26thof March, and the assistance included special protective caps, medical gloves and disinfectants.
After the outbreak of coronavirus in Wuhan, the UAE provided some 20 tons of medical supplies, including face masks and gloves, to China.
The UAE sent a plane carrying 5.7 tons of medical supplies, in cooperation with the World Health Organization, as well as five WHO experts to Iran on 3rd of March, to help 15,000 health care workers and 100,000 other people.
