An-Najah News - Nablus - The head of the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology at An-Najah National University, Dr. Abd al-Salam al-Khayyat, stressed that it is possible for life to gradually return to life, but the primary controller must be the health interest, in light of the corona crisis.
“Each region must be dealt with according to the population density, and taking into account the areas where there have been infections in corona, and each area must be dealt with according to the rate of disease spread in these gatherings,” he continued in an interview with An-Najah Channel.
The rate of disease transmission depends on three factors which are the population density, the incubation period of the disease and the recovery from it, and on the virus itself, indicating that every patient can transmit the disease to 2-4 people, so based on these numbers; they should intervene according to the population.
Al-Khayyat emphasized that the most important factor in combating the pandemic is epidemiological monitoring or the epidemiological tree, which determines the source of the infection and its aftermath.
